Getting there

Car

If you're driving to Bantigue Sandbar, start from Iloilo City. Head north on the Iloilo - Concepcion Road (also known as the Circumferential Road). Continue on this road until you reach the town of Carles. The journey will take approximately 3-4 hours depending on traffic. Once in Carles, follow signs leading to the coastal area where you will find boats that can take you to Bantigue Sandbar. Parking is available in Carles near the boat docks.

Public Transportation - Bus

From Iloilo City, go to the Ceres Bus Terminal and take a bus bound for Carles. The bus ride will take around 3-4 hours. Make sure to inform the bus conductor that you are heading to Carles. Upon arriving at Carles, you will need to find a local tricycle or a habal-habal (motorcycle taxi) that can take you to the nearest boat station. The fare for the tricycle will be around PHP 20-50 depending on the distance.

Boat

Once you reach the boat station in Carles, you will need to hire a boat to take you to Bantigue Sandbar. There are local fishermen and boat operators available at the station. The boat ride typically takes about 15-30 minutes depending on the sea conditions. The cost for hiring a boat can range from PHP 1,500 to PHP 3,000 for a round trip, which can accommodate a group of people. Make sure to negotiate the price before boarding.
