The drive will take approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on traffic. Once you reach San Carlos City, follow local signs to 'Mayana Peak' or use a GPS navigation app to get to the exact location (latitude: 10.527385, longitude: 123.335965). There are limited parking spaces available near the peak, so arrive early to secure a spot.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Bacolod City, head to the South Bus Terminal and board a bus heading towards San Carlos City. The fare is usually around PHP 150 to PHP 200. The travel time is approximately 2 to 3 hours. Once you reach San Carlos City, you can take a tricycle to Mayana Peak for about PHP 50 to PHP 100, depending on the distance. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your trip.
Tricycle
If you're already in San Carlos City, you can hire a tricycle to take you to Mayana Peak. The ride will cost approximately PHP 50 to PHP 100. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand. The tricycle will take you directly to the entrance where you can start your hike up the peak.
Hiking
Once you arrive at the entrance of Mayana Peak, prepare for a short hike to reach the summit. The hike is relatively easy and should take about 30 to 45 minutes. Wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water to stay hydrated. There is no entrance fee to hike at Mayana Peak, but donations to local guides are appreciated.
