If you're starting your journey from Zamboanga City, take the National Highway (also known as the Zamboanga-Samal Road) heading north. Continue driving for approximately 3 hours (around 120 kilometers) until you reach the town of Labason, Zamboanga del Norte. Once you arrive in Labason, follow the signs that direct you to Bayangan Island. You will need to take a local boat from the Labason port to reach Murcielagos Island. Ensure you check the boat schedules ahead of time to plan your trip accordingly. The boat ride will take about 30 minutes.

From Zamboanga City, head to the bus terminal and take a bus heading to Dipolog City or Labason. Buses leave frequently, and the journey takes about 4-5 hours.
