Public Transport - Train
Start your journey at Gdańsk Wrzeszcz train station (Gdańsk Wrzeszcz, 80-001 Gdańsk). Purchase a ticket to Gdańsk Stocznia station. Trains run frequently, so check the schedule for the next departure. The ride will take approximately 5 minutes. Once you arrive at Gdańsk Stocznia, exit the station.
Walking
After exiting the Gdańsk Stocznia station, head towards the waterfront. You will see signs directing you to Westerplatte. The walk is approximately 1.5 kilometers and will take around 20 minutes. Follow the path along the water, enjoying the view of the Gdańsk Shipyard on your left until you reach the Westerplatte peninsula.
Bus
Alternatively, from Gdańsk Wrzeszcz, you can take the bus number 106 from the nearest bus stop (Gdańsk Wrzeszcz). Make sure to check the route to ensure it goes towards Westerplatte. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Westerplatte' stop, which is close to the entrance of the site.
Walking from the bus stop
If you take the bus, you'll find yourself at the entrance of the Westerplatte historic site. From here, it's just a short walk to the main attractions, including the famous monument and the museum. Follow the signs directing you around the site.
