Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from Karpacz, which is a popular base for exploring the Karkonosze Mountains. Drive along the main road towards the center of Karpacz. Once you reach the center, look for signs leading to the Główny Szlak Sudecki trailhead. You can park your car at the designated parking areas near the trailhead (note that parking may incur a fee, typically around 10-20 PLN for a day). From the parking area, follow the signs that indicate the path to Stefankowy kamień. The hike is approximately 30-40 minutes on foot, depending on your pace, and it is well-marked.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer using public transportation, take a bus from nearby cities such as Jelenia Góra or Wrocław to Karpacz. Once you arrive in Karpacz, disembark at the main bus station. From there, you can either walk to the trailhead (about 20-30 minutes) or take a local taxi (costing around 20-30 PLN) to the Główny Szlak Sudecki trailhead. After reaching the trailhead, follow the signs for Stefankowy kamień, which is a scenic hike of about 30-40 minutes.

• Hiking

  Regardless of whether you arrive by car or public transport, the final part of your journey to Stefankowy kamień will be a hike on the Główny Szlak Sudecki. Ensure you wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water and snacks. The trail is well-maintained but can be steep in places, so take your time and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Look out for trail markers to guide you along the way, and keep an eye out for signposts that indicate your progress towards Stefankowy kamień.
