Monument Michała Bałuckiego: A Tribute to Polish Literary Heritage

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Main Market Square (Rynek Główny), head southwest towards the Grodzka Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Św. Jana Street. Turn left onto Św. Jana Street and follow it until you reach the intersection with the Floriańska Street. Turn right onto Floriańska Street and after a short walk, you will arrive at the Planty Park. Walk through the park until you reach the bridge over the river. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto the Westerplatte Street. The monument is located at Westerplatte 6, just a short walk ahead.

• Public Transport

  From the Main Market Square (Rynek Główny), walk to the nearest tram stop called 'Teatr Bagatela'. Take tram line 2 or 6 in the direction of 'Kurdwanów' or 'Bieżanów'. Get off at the 'Westerplatte' stop. Once you exit the tram, walk a few steps to your left, and you will see the Monument Michała Bałuckiego located at Westerplatte 6.

• Walking

  If you are currently at the Wawel Castle, exit the castle grounds and head towards the Vistula Boulevards. Walk along the river in the direction of the Grunwaldzki Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto the Westerplatte Street. The monument will be on your right-hand side at Westerplatte 6.
