Getting There

    If you are starting from the Main Market Square (Rynek Główny), head south towards Grodzka Street. Continue walking along Grodzka Street until you reach the entrance to Wawel Hill, which will be on your left. Follow the signs leading to Wawel Castle. The walk will take approximately 15 minutes. Once you reach Wawel Hill, you will see the castle entrance and the State Art Collection is located within the castle complex.

    From the Main Market Square, walk to the nearest tram stop at 'Teatr Bagatela'. Take tram number 5 or 10 towards 'Krowodrza Górka' and get off at the 'Wawel' stop. This journey will take about 10 minutes. Once you disembark, follow the signs towards Wawel Castle, which is a short walk away.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From the Main Market Square, walk to the nearest bus stop at 'Biskupa Jordana'. Take bus number 100 towards 'Wawel' and get off at the 'Wawel' stop. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. After getting off, walk towards the castle entrance, which is well marked.
