Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the Main Market Square (Rynek Główny), walk towards the St. Mary's Basilica (Kościół Mariacki) at the square's eastern side. From there, head east on Floriańska Street until you reach the Barbican (Barbakan). Continue straight until you reach the Planty Park entrance, which surrounds the Old Town. You will see signs indicating the entrance to Planty.

    From Wawel Castle, exit the castle grounds and walk downhill towards the Vistula River. Keep walking along the riverbank, and soon you will see the Planty Park starting on your left. Follow the park’s path for a scenic stroll through this historic green space.

  • Public Transport

    If you are near the Kraków Główny Train Station, take Tram 2, 3, or 8 towards the Old Town. Get off at the 'Teatr Bagatela' stop. From there, walk north for about 5 minutes, and you will reach the western edge of Planty Park, which encircles the Old Town.

    From the Galeria Krakowska shopping mall, exit towards the main square. Walk straight along Pawia Street, crossing over to Basztowa Street, which leads directly into the Old Town. Continue east until you reach the entrance to Planty Park, right after you pass the Barbican.
