Car
If you are driving, start from Szczawnica, the nearest town to Wodospad Zaskalnik. Head east on ul. Jagiellońska towards ul. Słowackiego. Continue on ul. Słowackiego, following signs for Zaskalnik. After about 3 kilometers, you will reach the parking area near the trailhead. Note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around 5-10 PLN per day.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, take a bus from Nowy Targ or Kraków to Szczawnica. Once in Szczawnica, you can either walk or take a local taxi to reach the trailhead for Wodospad Zaskalnik. The walk from the town center to the trailhead is approximately 3 kilometers and will take about 30-40 minutes. Local taxis are available and typically cost around 15-20 PLN.
Hiking
From the parking area or taxi drop-off point, follow the marked hiking trail towards Wodospad Zaskalnik. The trail is well maintained and takes approximately 30 minutes to reach the waterfall. Pay attention to trail markers, and be prepared for some moderate inclines. It's advisable to wear sturdy shoes and bring water, especially during warmer months.
