If you're driving from the center of Katowice, take the DK86 road heading towards Sosnowiec. Continue on DK86 for about 12 kilometers. Take the exit toward DK94 and merge onto it. After approximately 5 kilometers, take the exit toward S1/Sosnowiec. Follow the signs for Sosnowiec, and then merge onto ul. 3 Maja. Continue straight until you reach plac Kożuchów. The Środula Ghetto Memorial will be located in that area. Parking may be available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking fees.
Public Transportation - Train
To reach the Środula Ghetto Memorial via train, start at Katowice Railway Station (Katowice Główne). Take a train to Sosnowiec Główny Station. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Sosnowiec Główny, exit the station and walk to the nearby bus stop. Catch bus number 29 or 21 towards 'Sosnowiec Środula' and alight at the 'Kożuchów' stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the memorial located at plac Kożuchów. Be sure to check the train and bus schedules ahead of time to plan your trip effectively.
Public Transportation - Bus
If you prefer to take a bus from Katowice, you can catch bus number 674 from the Katowice Bus Station (Dworzec Autobusowy) heading towards Sosnowiec. The trip takes about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the 'Kożuchów' stop, which is very close to the Środula Ghetto Memorial located at plac Kożuchów. You may need to pay a small fare for the bus, so have some cash ready or a transportation card.
