Getting There

  • Public Transport

    If you are in central Warsaw, head to the nearest metro station and take Line M1 (the red line) towards Młociny. Get off at the 'Rondo ONZ' station and transfer to tram Line 22. Board the tram heading towards 'Królewska'. After 5 stops, get off at 'Zamek Królewski'. From there, walk towards the Vistula River and follow the path along the riverbank for a scenic stroll. Continue walking until you reach the intersection where you will see a sign pointing towards the Archcathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist. It will be a short 10-minute walk from the riverbank to the church, located at Świętojańska 8.

    If you are near the Old Town, make your way to the Royal Castle at Castle Square (Plac Zamkowy). From there, take a left onto Nowy Świat street, which is a famous thoroughfare. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Vistula River. Cross the street and continue straight down Świętojańska street. The Archcathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist will be on your left at number 8. This walk is pleasant and will take around 15 minutes.

    If you are near the main train station (Warszawa Centralna), take bus number 175 from the bus stop 'Dworzec Centralny'. Get off at the 'Most Poniatowskiego' stop, and walk towards the river. Cross the bridge and continue walking along the riverbank path. After about 15 minutes, you will approach the area around the Archcathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist. The basilica will be on your right at Świętojańska 8.
