Bus
Start at the central bus station in Zakopane, which is located at ul. Kościuszki 12. Look for the bus heading to 'Vysoké Tatry' or 'Strbske Pleso'. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes. Upon arrival at the Vysoké Tatry stop, exit the bus and follow the signs for Tatra National Park. You can either walk directly to the park entrance, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop, or take a local tram if available.
Taxi
You can hail a taxi from anywhere in Zakopane. Simply request the driver to take you to 'Tatra National Park' in Vysoké Tatry. The journey typically takes around 25 minutes, depending on traffic. Ensure you agree on the fare beforehand or ask for the meter to be used.
Walking
If you are staying in a location close to the main street (Krupówki), begin your walk to Tatra National Park by heading southeast towards ul. Kościuszki. Continue straight until you reach the bus station, then follow the bus instructions above, or continue walking towards the direction of the park, which is approximately 7 km from the center of Zakopane. This will take you about 1 hour and 30 minutes on foot. Make sure to take breaks and enjoy the scenic views along the route.
