If you are driving from Lagos, take the N125 road towards Portimão. After approximately 20 km, take the exit towards Portimão/Ferragudo. Continue on the N124 road, following signs to Ferragudo. Once in Ferragudo, follow the signs towards the beach (Praia da Angrinha). From there, you can park at the beach parking area and walk towards the lighthouse (Farol da Ponta do Altar) which is a short 10-minute walk along the coastal path.

To reach Farol da Ponta do Altar by public transport, take the train from Lagos to Portimão. From the Portimão train station, you can catch a bus (Line 12 or Line 23) heading to Ferragudo.
