Bus
From the center of Aveiro, head to the Aveiro Bus Station (Terminal Rodoviário de Aveiro) located at Rua de João Mendonça. You can reach the bus station by walking or taking a short taxi ride. Once at the bus station, look for the bus to Luso. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Luso stop. From the bus stop, walk towards the main entrance of Buçaco National Forest, which is a short 10-minute walk away.

Train and Bus
Start at Aveiro Train Station (Estação de Comboios de Aveiro). You can walk there from the city center. Take a train to the nearest station to Luso, which is the station in Mealhada. This train ride will take about 20 minutes. Upon arriving at Mealhada, exit the train station and catch a local bus toward Luso. The bus ride will take around 15 minutes. Once you reach Luso, follow the signs to Buçaco National Forest, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

Walking
If you prefer walking, you can take a scenic route through the countryside from Aveiro to Luso. Begin at the Praça do Peixe in the center of Aveiro and walk towards the north, following the signs for the N235 road. It is a long walk of about 20 km, so it's recommended only for the adventurous and well-prepared hikers. This route will take you through beautiful landscapes and small towns. Upon reaching Luso, follow the directions to Buçaco National Forest.
