Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Aveiro Railway Station, exit the station and head south on Rua de Camoes. Continue straight until you reach the first intersection, where you will turn left onto Avenida Dr. Lourenço Peixinho. Follow this avenue for about 800 meters. When you reach the Praça do Peixe, continue straight to cross the bridge over the Canal de São Roque. Canal Central will be visible straight ahead as you walk along the waterfront.

    From the City Center, specifically at the Igreja de São Domingos, head southeast on Rua de São Domingos towards Rua de Camoes. Turn left onto Rua de Camoes and continue straight until you reach Avenida Dr. Lourenço Peixinho. Turn right onto this avenue and walk for about 600 meters until you arrive at Praça do Peixe. You will see the Canal Central just beyond the square.
