Getting There

• Bus

  From the Aveiro city center, walk to the Aveiro Bus Station (Terminal Rodoviário de Aveiro), which is about a 10-minute walk from Praça da República. Once at the bus station, look for the bus to Costa Nova. Buses run frequently throughout the day, and the journey to Gafanha da Encarnação takes approximately 30 minutes. After arriving at the Costa Nova bus stop, walk along Av. José Estevão for about 5 minutes, and you will reach Casas Típicas da Costa Nova on your left.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Aveiro. Start from the city center and head towards the Ria de Aveiro waterfront. Follow the bike path that leads out of town towards Costa Nova. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. As you reach Gafanha da Encarnação, look for Av. José Estevão, and you will find Casas Típicas da Costa Nova along this avenue.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking and have the time, you can walk from Aveiro to Gafanha da Encarnação. Start at Praça da República and head east on Rua 14 de Julho. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront, then follow the path along the Ria de Aveiro towards Costa Nova. The walk is approximately 6 km and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Gafanha da Encarnação, turn onto Av. José Estevão, and Casas Típicas da Costa Nova will be on your left.
