Once you arrive in Ílhavo, you will need to walk to the museum. Exit the bus station and turn left onto Rua 5 de Outubro. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout, then take the second exit onto Avenida da Liberdade. Follow this road until you see the signs for Museu Vista Alegre, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Aveiro. Start by heading east on Avenida Dr. Lourenço Peixinho towards Rua da Liberdade. Continue along the waterfront until you reach the cycle path that leads to Ílhavo. Follow the signs for Ílhavo, which will take you through a scenic route along the lagoon. The ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you reach Ílhavo, follow the signs to Museu Vista Alegre, which is about a 10-minute ride from the town center.

For the more adventurous, you can walk from Aveiro to Museu Vista Alegre. Start at the Aveiro city center and head towards the river. Follow the path along the Ria de Aveiro towards the bridge leading to Ílhavo. Cross the bridge and continue straight on Avenida da Liberdade. You will eventually reach a roundabout where you should take the second exit. Continue walking straight for about 30 minutes, and you will see the signs for Museu Vista Alegre on your left.
