Walking
Start your journey at the Aveiro train station (Estação de Aveiro). Exit the station and head east towards Rua João Mendonça. Walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Avenida da Cooperação. Turn left onto Avenida da Cooperação and continue walking for another 300 meters until you see the beautiful Ria de Aveiro waterfront. From here, you can walk along the promenade. Continue along the waterfront until you reach the bridge, Ponte dos Carcavelos, which is located at Praceta Ria de Aveiro, 3800-257 Aveiro. This lovely bridge offers picturesque views of the water and is a great spot for photos.

Public Transport (Bus)
To reach Ponte dos Carcavelos by bus, start at the Aveiro train station (Estação de Aveiro). From the station, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is on Avenida da Cooperação. Look for bus line number 5 or 11 that heads towards the direction of Praia da Barra. Board the bus and stay on for about 10 minutes. Disembark at the stop 'Ria de Aveiro' and walk towards Praceta Ria de Aveiro. The bridge, Ponte dos Carcavelos, will be visible shortly as you approach the waterfront.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Aveiro. Start at the rental location and head towards the Ria de Aveiro. Follow the cycle path that runs along the waterfront. Keep cycling straight until you reach the area near Praceta Ria de Aveiro. The Ponte dos Carcavelos will be an easy landmark to spot as you approach the waterfront.
