Bus
From Aveiro city center, head to the 'Aveiro' bus station, which is located near the Forum Aveiro shopping center. Look for the bus company 'Transdev' or 'Rodoviária de Aveiro' that operates routes to Arouca. Purchase a ticket to Arouca, which is approximately a 45-minute journey. Once you arrive at Arouca bus station, exit the station and head east on Rua da Liberdade towards Av. 25 de Abril. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Av. 25 de Abril, following the signs to Frecha da Mizarela. You may need to walk for about 20-30 minutes along the road, or you can use local taxis or ride-sharing services to reach Frecha da Mizarela directly.
Bike
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Aveiro. Start your journey from the city center and head towards the N234 road. Follow the N234 towards Arouca, about 25 km away. The ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Once you reach Arouca, look for signs leading to Frecha da Mizarela, which is well-marked. The scenic views along this route are worth the effort!
