If you're traveling by car from central Beira Alta, take the A23 highway heading south. After about 45 km, take exit 4 towards Barrancos. Continue on the N-258 for approximately 20 km until you reach Barrancos. Once in Barrancos, follow the signs for the Castle of Noudar. The castle is located just a few kilometers outside the town. Note that parking is available near the castle entrance.

Public Transportation
To reach the Castle of Noudar via public transportation, take a bus from Beira Alta to Barrancos. Check the local bus schedules as they may vary, but generally, the journey takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Barrancos, you can either walk to the castle, which is about 3 km from the bus stop, or take a local taxi if available. Make sure to check the return bus schedules as well, as they may be limited, especially on weekends.

If you decide to walk from Barrancos to the Castle of Noudar, head north on the N-258 road. Follow the road signs indicating the direction to the castle. The walk is approximately 3 km and will take about 40 minutes. Be aware that the road may have limited pedestrian pathways, so exercise caution while walking.
