Walking
If you are in the city center of Évora, start at the Praça do Giraldo, the main square. From the square, head south towards the Rua 5 de Outubro. Walk along this street until you reach the end, where it intersects with the Rua da República. Turn left onto Rua da República and continue straight for about 500 meters. You will see signs pointing towards the castle. Keep walking until you reach Largo do Castelo, where Monsaraz Castle is located.
Public Transport - Bus
From the city center, make your way to the nearest bus stop, which is located near Praça do Giraldo. Look for bus line number 1 or 2 that goes towards Monsaraz. The bus will drop you off at a stop close to the castle. Once you get off the bus, follow the signs for Largo do Castelo. It’s a short walk of about 5 minutes to reach your destination.
