Bus
From the center of Braga, head to the Braga Bus Station (Terminal Rodoviário de Braga), which is located at Rua do Terminal. You can walk there in about 15 minutes. Once at the bus station, look for a bus heading towards 'Caniçada' or 'Gerês'. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Make sure to ask the bus driver if they stop at Caniçada. Once you arrive, the bus will drop you off near the main entrance to the area.
Train and Bus
First, make your way to Braga Train Station (Estação de Comboios de Braga) located at Avenida da Liberdade. From the station, take a train to 'Nine (Ninente)' station. The train ride takes about 10 minutes. After arriving at Nine station, exit and look for the bus stop nearby for a bus going to 'Caniçada'. The bus journey will take about 15-20 minutes. Make sure to confirm with the bus driver that it will stop at your destination.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, you can take a scenic route from the city center to Caniçada. Start from Praça da República and head northeast toward Avenida da Liberdade. Continue along the road until you reach the outskirts of the city. Follow the signs toward Caniçada, which is about a 2-hour walk. Enjoy the views along the way, but make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
