Walking
From the center of Braga, head to the Braga train station. Once you arrive at the station, take a train to Porto. The train journey takes approximately 40 minutes. After arriving at Porto's Campanhã station, exit the station and follow the signs to the Metro. Take the Metro Line A (Blue line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos and get off at the 'São Bento' station. After exiting the Metro station, walk towards the beautiful São Bento Railway Station building and then continue walking down Rua de Ferreira Borges. Follow this street until you reach the Ribeira area. Once you arrive at Ribeira, you will see Largo da Pena Ventosa, a charming square with stunning views of the Douro River.
Public Transport
From any central location in Braga, make your way to the Braga bus station. Look for a bus heading to Porto; several companies operate this route. The bus ride takes around 1 hour. Upon arrival at Porto's bus station, walk towards the nearest Metro station, which is 'Campo 24 de Agosto'. Take Metro Line A (Blue line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos and get off at 'São Bento' station. Upon exiting the station, navigate towards the Ribeira district by walking down Rua de Ferreira Borges until you reach Largo da Pena Ventosa, where you can enjoy the local atmosphere and views.
