From the center of Caldas da Rainha, start at Praça da República. Head southeast on Rua Dr. José de Almeida towards Rua 5 de Outubro. Continue walking straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida 1 de Maio. Walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by several shops and cafes. When you reach the next roundabout, take the third exit onto Rua da Liberdade, which will lead you out of Caldas da Rainha towards Santarém. Continue straight until you see a sign for Santarém. After about 2 kilometers, you will enter Santarém. Follow the main road (Avenida Marechal Carmona) as it curves left and becomes Rua Dr. Jaime Figueiredo. Mercado de Santarém will be on your right at number 22.
