Bus
From the city center of Caldas da Rainha, walk to the Caldas da Rainha Bus Station (Terminal Rodoviário de Caldas da Rainha). This is about a 10-minute walk from the Praça da Fruta. Once at the bus station, look for a bus heading towards Alcobaça. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. You will want to get off at the stop closest to Alcobaça town center. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Quinta dos Capuchos. Head southeast on Avenida da Liberdade towards Rua do Comércio, then turn left onto N8-6. Follow N8-6 for about 1.2 kilometers until you reach Quinta dos Capuchos on your right.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Caldas da Rainha. Start from the city center and take Rua das Figueiras towards the waterfront. Follow the bike paths along the river until you reach the main road leading to Alcobaça. The total distance is approximately 11 kilometers and will take about 45 minutes to an hour. Once you reach Alcobaça, navigate towards N8-6, and continue until you see Quinta dos Capuchos on your right.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, it is possible to walk from Caldas da Rainha to Alcobaça, although it is quite a distance. Start from the city center and head towards the N8 road. Following the N8, it will take about 2 to 2.5 hours to reach Alcobaça, covering around 11 kilometers. Once you arrive in Alcobaça, continue walking along N8-6 until you find Quinta dos Capuchos on your right.
