Train
From Cascais, walk to the Cascais train station, which is located near the center of town. Purchase a ticket to Lisbon. The train to Lisbon leaves regularly and the journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Cais do Sodré station in Lisbon, exit the station and walk towards the river. Follow the signs to the Praça do Comércio and then continue walking along the riverfront until you reach the D. Maria II Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue walking straight until you reach R. das Janelas Verdes. The National Museum of Ancient Art will be on your left.
Bus
Take the bus number 403 from Cascais towards Lisbon. You can catch the bus at the Cascais bus terminal, which is a short walk from the train station. The journey takes about 50 minutes. Get off at the 'Cais do Sodré' stop and walk towards the river. Then, head towards Praça do Comércio and continue along the riverfront until you reach the D. Maria II Bridge. Cross the bridge and walk straight on R. das Janelas Verdes until you arrive at the National Museum of Ancient Art, which will be on your left.
Walking
If you are already in the center of Cascais, you can enjoy a pleasant walk to Lisbon. Head towards the coast and follow the promenade along the beach. Continue walking until you reach the end of the promenade at the Estoril Casino. From there, you can take the coastal road towards Lisbon. The walk will take approximately 2-3 hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Once you reach Lisbon, navigate towards the R. das Janelas Verdes, and you will find the National Museum of Ancient Art on your left.
