Walking
From Cascais town center, head to the Cascais Train Station (Estação de Cascais). Take the train towards Cais do Sodré, which is the final stop. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Cais do Sodré, exit the station and walk towards the Cais do Sodré ferry terminal. From there, catch the metro (green line) to the Rossio station. After getting off at Rossio, exit the metro and head east on Rua do Ouro. Continue straight until you reach Praça do Comércio. From there, take the Rua da Prata heading northeast until you reach the intersection with Rua do Arco do Cego. Turn left onto Rua do Arco do Cego and walk straight until you reach Largo do Salvador in the Alfama neighborhood.
Public Transport (Bus and Metro)
Start at Cascais town center and walk to the nearest bus stop for the 403 bus (Cascais to Lisbon). Board the bus and ride it until you reach the Campo de Ourique area. Here, transfer to the tram (number 28) going towards Martim Moniz. Stay on the tram until you reach the stop named 'Largo das Portas do Sol'. From there, walk along the cobbled streets of Alfama, following signs to Largo do Salvador. It is a short 5-minute walk from the tram stop to your destination.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer a more direct route, you can book a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber) from anywhere in Cascais. Simply enter 'Largo do Salvador, Alfama, Lisbon' as your destination. The drive will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
