From Cascais city center, head towards the Cascais Marina. Walk along the waterfront promenade towards the west. Continue straight until you reach the end of the marina. At the end, turn right onto Avenida 25 de Abril and continue walking until you reach the roundabout. From the roundabout, take the first exit onto Rua Júlio Pereira de Mello, and the Museu do Mar Rei Dom Carlos I will be on your left after a short walk.

From the Cascais train station, take bus number 403 towards Estoril. Get off at the 'Casa da Guia' stop. From there, walk back along Avenida 25 de Abril towards the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Rua Júlio Pereira de Mello; the museum will be on your left.

If you rent a bicycle, start from the Cascais city center and head towards the marina. Follow the cycle path along the waterfront promenade until you reach the end of the marina. At the end, turn right onto Avenida 25 de Abril. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout, then take the first exit onto Rua Júlio Pereira de Mello. The Museu do Mar Rei Dom Carlos I will be on your left side.
