From Cascais, walk to Cascais train station, which is located near the town center. The station is easily accessible, just a 10-minute walk from the Cascais marina. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Palmela. Trains to Palmela may require a transfer at either Lisbon or Setúbal, so check the train schedules on the Comboios de Portugal website. Once you arrive at Palmela train station, exit the station and follow the signs to the local bus stop.

At the Palmela train station, take the local bus that goes to the center of Palmela. The bus stop is located just outside the station. Ensure you ask for the bus that stops near Palmela's Castle, as some buses may head to different parts of the town. The bus ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Av. dos Cavaleiros de Santiago e Espada. From there, it is a short walk to the castle.

Once you get off the bus, head east on Av. dos Cavaleiros de Santiago e Espada. The castle will be visible as you approach. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop to Palmela's Castle. Follow the path signs directing you towards the castle entrance.
