If you are in the center of Cascais, start by heading towards the Cascais Train Station. Exit the station and walk towards Avenida Valbom. Continue along Avenida Valbom until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the exit onto Avenida da República. Follow this avenue as it leads you out of the town center. After about a 15-minute walk, you will reach the coastal road, known as Estrada Marginal. Turn left onto this road and continue walking for approximately 10 more minutes. You will see signs for Praia de Santo Amaro, and soon you will arrive at the beach.

From Cascais, you can take the bus to Praia de Santo Amaro. Head to the nearest bus stop that services the 414 bus route (Cascais to Oeiras). The bus will take you directly to Oeiras, where you will need to get off at the 'Praia de Santo Amaro' stop. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you disembark, follow the signs leading you to the beach, which is just a short walk from the bus stop.
