Getting There

• Bus

  From Sintra's historic center, head to the bus stop at 'Sintra Estação'. Take the Scotturb bus number 441 towards 'Lisboa'. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the 'Praça Marquês de Pombal' stop. The square is directly in front of you.

• Train

  Start at Sintra train station. Purchase a ticket to 'Lisbon' (Lisboa). Board the train heading to Rossio station in Lisbon, which takes around 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Rossio, exit the station and walk towards the Restauradores Square. From there, take the metro (Green Line) to 'Marquês de Pombal' station. The square will be right outside the metro exit.

• Walking

  If you're feeling adventurous, it's about a 30-minute walk from the Sintra historic center to the train station. From the center, head down the main road (Avenida Dr. Miguel Bombarda) in the direction of the train station. Once you arrive at the station, follow the train directions to Lisbon as mentioned above. Alternatively, you can take the scenic route through the picturesque streets of Sintra.

• Taxi

  You can also opt for a taxi from anywhere in Sintra. Just hail a taxi or use a ride-hailing app and request to go to 'Praça Marquês de Pombal' in Lisbon. The drive usually takes about 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
