From the center of Chaves, head east towards the Avenida 5 de Outubro. When you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua da Liberdade. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua dos Três Moinhos. Turn left onto Rua dos Três Moinhos and follow the road as it curves around. After approximately 1.5 km, you will see signposts directing you towards Ermelo. Continue walking along the road until you reach the entrance of Fisgas de Ermelo, which is well-marked.

If renting a bicycle, start from the main square in Chaves (Praça de Camões). Ride south along Avenida 5 de Outubro for about 1 km. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua da Liberdade.
