Walking
If you are starting from the central square, Praça de Camões, head towards the northwest side of the square. Exit the square and walk straight along Rua 1º de Maio. After about 200 meters, you will reach a small intersection. Turn right onto Rua do Comércio. Continue straight for approximately 300 meters until you see the castle on your left. The entrance to Castelo de Chaves is located at Praça de Camões 14.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the main bus station in Chaves, take the local bus heading towards the city center. Get off at the stop labeled 'Praça de Camões'. From there, walk towards the castle which is just a short distance away (about 100 meters). You will see the castle clearly from the square.
Bicycle
If you have a bicycle, start from the central park, Parque de Exposições. Cycle along Avenida de São João towards the city center. After about 1 km, you will reach Praça de Camões. From the square, the castle is only 200 meters away, to your left. There are bike racks available near the entrance.
