Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the center of Chaves, head towards the Praça do Município, which is a central square. From there, walk towards the Largo da Estação, where you'll see the train station. Continue straight on Av. 25 de Abril until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Rua de Lisboa. Continue on this street for about 500 meters until you see a small park on your left. The Monumento Nome Chaves is located in Largo Gen. Silveira, just a short walk from the park. Look for the large monument in the square; it should be easy to spot.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the central bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Chaves), take bus line number 1 towards 'Largo da Estação'. Disembark at the stop named 'Largo Gen. Silveira'. The monument is located right at the square, just a few steps away from the bus stop. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Chaves. Start from the center and head towards Avenida 25 de Abril, cycling along the dedicated bike lanes. Continue until you reach the roundabout, then take the first exit onto Rua de Lisboa. The monument will be approximately 1.5 km from the center, and you will find bike parking available near Largo Gen. Silveira.
