If you are starting from the Coimbra train station (Estação Velha), exit the station and head east on Av. Emídio Navarro. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit to stay on Av. Emídio Navarro. Walk for another 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Rua da Sofia. Turn left onto Rua da Sofia and continue straight until you reach the Praça da República, which will be on your right.
