Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the center of Coimbra, head towards the main pedestrian street, Rua Ferreira Borges. Walk straight until you reach the Praça do Comércio. From there, continue onto Rua da Sofia. After a few minutes, you will see the entrance to the University of Coimbra on your left, marked by a large archway. Enter the university grounds and follow the signs for the Palace of Schools (Palácio das Escolas). It is a short walk through the university, and you will arrive at the Palace of Schools, which is located at the address 3000-515 Coimbra.

• Bus

  From the central bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Coimbra), take the bus number 34, which goes directly to the University area. Get off at the stop named 'Universidade'. From there, walk towards the main entrance of the University of Coimbra, which you will see ahead. Once inside, follow the signs to the Palace of Schools, which is a short walk through the campus.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Coimbra. Simply tell the driver you want to go to the 'Palácio das Escolas' at the University of Coimbra. The taxi will drop you off right at the entrance to the university, from where you can follow the signs to the Palace of Schools.

• Bicycle

  If you're renting a bike, start from the city center and head towards the University of Coimbra. Follow the bike lanes along Avenida Sá da Bandeira until you reach the university. Once you arrive, you can park your bike at the designated bike racks and walk to the Palace of Schools, which is a short distance inside the university grounds.
