Car
If you're traveling by car from any location in the Douro Valley, take the N-222 road towards Peso da Régua. Once you reach Peso da Régua, merge onto the A24 motorway towards Porto. Continue on A24 for approximately 30 km, then take the exit toward A1, following signs for Porto. After about 10 km, take the exit for Rua da Alegria and follow the local signs to Miradouro da Ponte da Arrábida. There is parking available near the viewpoint, but it can get busy during peak tourist seasons.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train from Régua to Porto São Bento station. The journey takes about 2 hours. From Porto São Bento, you can catch a bus or a Metro (Line D - Yellow Line) to the Casa da Música station. From Casa da Música, take bus number 202 or 203, which will take you directly to the Miradouro da Ponte da Arrábida. Ensure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as they may have varying frequencies.
Taxi or Rideshare
Another convenient option is to use a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber) from Porto. Simply enter 'Miradouro da Ponte da Arrábida' as your destination. The drive will take around 15-20 minutes from central Porto, depending on traffic. This option is particularly good if you are traveling in a group, as it may be cost-effective compared to multiple public transport tickets.
