Car
If you are traveling by car, start from any point in the Douro Valley, such as Peso da Régua or Pinhão. Head northeast on the N222 road towards Vila Nova de Foz Côa. After approximately 30 km, follow signs for the A25 motorway. Merge onto A25 and continue for about 18 km. Take the exit towards Vila Nova de Foz Côa (IC5) and follow the signs to the Parque Arqueológico do Vale do Côa. The destination will be on your right at R. do Museu, 5150-610 Vila Nova de Foz Côa. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, take a train from Peso da Régua to the nearest major station, which is in the city of Guarda. From Guarda, transfer to a bus that goes to Vila Nova de Foz Côa. The bus journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Vila Nova de Foz Côa, you can either walk (approximately 2 km) to the Parque Arqueológico do Vale do Côa or take a taxi for a quicker option.
