Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Guimarães, start at Praça de Santiago. Head southwest on Rua de Santiago towards Rua de Santa Maria. Continue onto Rua de Santa Maria, passing by the beautiful Igreja de São Miguel do Castelo. Follow the road as it turns slightly left and becomes Rua de São Miguel. When you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida de Dom João IV. Walk straight until you reach the bus terminal, which is about a 15-minute walk. There, you can catch a bus to Ribeira de Pena. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Ribeira de Pena, ask the locals for directions to Rua do Travessa do Complexo Turístico de Lamelas, which is a short walk from the bus stop.

• Bus

  Start at Praça de Santiago in Guimarães. Walk to the nearby bus terminal located on Avenida de Dom João IV. Look for buses heading towards Ribeira de Pena. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Ribeira de Pena, you can ask for directions to Rua do Travessa do Complexo Turístico de Lamelas. It is a short walk from the bus stop. Make sure to check the bus schedule beforehand to ensure you have ample time for your visit.

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from the center of Guimarães. Simply hail a taxi or ask at your hotel to call one for you.
