Car
If you are driving from Porto, take the A1 highway towards Lisbon. After about 5 km, take exit 15 towards Vila Nova de Gaia. Continue on the N222 road, which will take you along the Douro River. After approximately 10 km, you will reach Av. de Diogo Leite. Turn left onto Av. de Diogo Leite, and you will find Douro Velho at number 302 on your right. Parking is available nearby, but may incur parking fees depending on the time of day.
Public Transportation (Metro)
From the center of Porto, take the Metro Line D (Yellow Line) towards Santo Ovidio. Get off at the 'Jardim do Morro' station. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to Douro Velho. Exit the station and head towards the Douro River. Walk along the riverbank towards Av. de Diogo Leite. Douro Velho is located at number 302. Make sure to purchase a Metro ticket which costs approximately €1.20.
Public Transportation (Bus)
You can also take a bus from Porto to Vila Nova de Gaia. Look for bus lines 901 or 903 at the bus stop near São Bento Station. Get off at the 'Cais de Gaia' stop, which is a short walk from Douro Velho. Head towards the river, and follow Av. de Diogo Leite until you reach number 302. A bus ticket costs around €1.50.
