Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Ericeira. Head southeast on Rua da Praça towards Rua do Norte. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida de Europa. Turn left onto Avenida de Europa and follow it as it curves to the right. After about 1.5 km, you will see signs for the Sea Monument (Monumento ao Mar) on your left. Look for parking options nearby as there may be limited spaces available.
Public Transportation
To reach the Sea Monument via public transport, start at the Ericeira Bus Station (Terminal Rodoviário de Ericeira). Take the local bus heading towards Praia da Ribeira d'Ilhas. The bus ride takes approximately 10-15 minutes. Get off at the stop called 'Praia do Sul' (the last stop). From there, walk towards the beach, and you will see the Sea Monument located along the coastline. The bus ticket costs around €2.
Walking
If you are already in Ericeira and prefer to walk, you can reach the Sea Monument by heading southeast from the town center. Start on Rua da Praça and follow it until you reach Avenida de Europa. Continue straight for about 1.5 km along the coast, enjoying the views. The Sea Monument will be on your left, just past the beach area. This walk takes about 20-30 minutes.
