After about 30 km, you'll reach a junction; continue straight onto the N122 road. Follow the signs to Mértola. Once you reach Mértola, you can park your car in the designated parking areas near the town center. From there, follow the signs to Pulo do Lobo, which is about a 10-minute drive from Mértola. The parking area near the waterfall is accessible and there's no fee for parking.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Lisbon to Beja. The journey takes about 2.5 hours and tickets cost around €12. Upon arriving in Beja, transfer to a bus heading to Mértola. The bus ride takes approximately 45 minutes and costs about €6. Once in Mértola, you can either walk or take a taxi to Pulo do Lobo, which is around 5 km away. Taxis are available, and the fare should be around €10-€15. Alternatively, if you're feeling adventurous, you can hike to Pulo do Lobo from Mértola, enjoying the scenic views along the way.
Bicycle
If you're up for a cycling adventure, rent a bicycle in Mértola. The route to Pulo do Lobo is approximately 5 km and follows a well-marked path. The bike rental should cost about €10-€15 for a half-day rental. Be sure to wear appropriate gear and bring water, as the ride can be challenging in certain areas.
