From the city center of Faro, walk to the main bus station located at Avenida da República. Look for the bus company called 'Eva Transportes'. Purchase a ticket to the town of São Brás de Alportel. Buses to São Brás de Alportel run regularly throughout the day. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in São Brás de Alportel, you will need to continue your journey on foot.

After arriving in São Brás de Alportel, exit the bus station and head north on Rua 5 de Outubro. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua da Liberdade. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with N124. Turn left onto N124 and follow the road signs leading to Serra do Caldeirão. The hike up the mountain will take around 1-2 hours depending on your pace and the trail you choose.
