Walking
From the center of Guimarães, start at Praça de Santiago. Head southeast on Rua de Santa Maria, crossing over the small bridge. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Avenida de Londres. Walk straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the train station, Estação de Guimarães. From the station, take the train to Vila Nova de Gaia. Once you arrive at Vila Nova de Gaia station, exit and head towards Rua do Choupelo. Turn left onto Rua do Choupelo, and walk about 500 meters until you reach Atkinson Museum, located at number 132 on your right.
Public Transport
From the central bus station in Guimarães, take the bus number 3 towards Vila Nova de Gaia. The bus journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Choupelo'. Once you disembark, walk a short distance down Rua do Choupelo for about 300 meters. Atkinson Museum will be on your left at number 132.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Guimarães. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'Atkinson Museum, Rua do Choupelo 132, Vila Nova de Gaia'. The ride should take around 20 minutes, depending on traffic.
