Walking
From the center of Guimarães, head south on Rua de São Paulo towards Praça de São Tiago. Continue straight until you reach the main square, Praça de Oliveira. From there, take the exit towards Rua de Santo António. Walk along this street until you reach the bus station, Estação de Autocarros de Guimarães. At the bus station, find the bus that goes to Porto. Board the bus and enjoy the ride to Porto, which should take about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Porto, head towards the Ribeira district by following signs to the river. Walk along Cais da Ribeira, and you will reach Cais da Estiva, which is a picturesque area along the Douro River, known for its vibrant atmosphere and stunning views.

Public Transportation
From Guimarães, walk to the Estação de Autocarros de Guimarães (bus station). You can easily reach it by following Rua de São Paulo south until you see the station. Once there, purchase a ticket for a bus to Porto. After approximately 45 minutes, you will arrive at the bus terminal in Porto. From the terminal, head towards the nearest metro station (Campo 24 de Agosto). Take the metro towards São Bento station. Exit at São Bento and walk towards Praça da Ribeira. Follow the signs leading to Cais da Ribeira, where you will find Cais da Estiva along the riverside.
