From the center of Viana do Castelo, start at Praça da República. Head southeast towards Rua da Bandeira. Continue straight as this road becomes Rua do Cais. Walk along the riverfront until you reach the intersection with Avenida dos Combatentes. Turn left onto Avenida dos Combatentes and continue until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua de São Sebastião. Follow this road until you reach the next roundabout. At this roundabout, take the first exit onto Caminho da Oliveirinha. The Capela do Anjo da Guarda will be on your left after a short walk.

From the Viana do Castelo train station, exit and head to the bus stop located just outside the station. Take bus number 4 towards Santa Maria Maior. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes until you reach the stop at Rua de São Sebastião. From there, walk straight down Rua de São Sebastião until you come to the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Caminho da Oliveirinha. The Capela do Anjo da Guarda will be on your left after a short walk.
