Walking
From the Guimarães city center, head towards Avenida de Dom João IV. Follow this road straight until you reach the Guimarães train station. Once at the train station, purchase a ticket to Porto. After getting your ticket, board the train heading to Porto São Bento station. The journey will take approximately 35 minutes. Once you arrive at Porto São Bento, exit the station and follow the signs to the metro station 'São Bento'.
Metro
At the São Bento metro station, take the metro line A (the blue line) towards Estádio do Dragão. Stay on the metro for about 10 stops. You will need to change at the station 'Campo 24 de Agosto' to line D (the yellow line). Board the train on line D towards Hospital de São João. Get off at the Estádio do Dragão station. The stadium will be directly in front of you as you exit the metro station.
Bus
From the Guimarães city center, walk to the bus terminal located at Praça de S. Tiago. Look for buses heading to Porto. Bus number 303 or 305 usually goes directly to Porto. The bus ride will take around 45 minutes. Get off at the Campo 24 de Agosto stop in Porto. From there, walk to the São Bento metro station and follow the previous metro directions to Estádio do Dragão.
