Walking
From the center of Guimarães, head towards Praça da República. Walk straight through the square and take the road leading to Rua de São Francisco. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua de D. João IV. Turn left on Rua de D. João IV and follow it until you see the signs for the train station. From the train station, you can take a train to Porto. Once in Porto, make your way to Praça de Gomes Teixeira, the location of Fonte dos Leões.
Public Transport
Start at the Guimarães bus station and take a bus to Porto. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the bus station in Porto, exit and look for the metro station nearby. Take the metro line towards 'São Bento' and get off at the 'São Bento' station. From there, it's a short walk to Praça de Gomes Teixeira. Head west on Rua de 31 de Janeiro, then turn left onto Rua da Conceição, which will lead you directly to the square.
