Walking
If you're starting from the Guimarães Castle, head southeast on Rua de São Mamede towards Largo do Toural. Continue straight on this path until you reach Largo do Toural, then turn left on Rua de Santa Maria. Walk along this street, and you will see the beautiful historic buildings lining the way. Continue straight until you reach Praça de São Tiago. From here, take a right onto Rua de Cândido dos Reis and follow it until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua de Alberto Sampaio. Keep walking straight until you reach Jardim Público da Alameda, which will be on your left. The garden's entrance features a lovely pathway leading into the greenery.

If you're near the Guimarães train station, you can take a local bus to reach Jardim Alameda. Exit the train station and head to the bus stop located directly in front of the station. Look for bus line number 3 or 5, which heads towards the city center. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop called 'Alameda'. From the bus stop, walk a short distance down the road towards the entrance of Jardim Público da Alameda, which will be right in front of you.
