Walking
From the center of Guimarães, head towards Praça de Santiago and take the Rua de Santo António. Continue straight until you reach the Guimarães train station, Estação de Guimarães. This is approximately a 15-minute walk.
Public Transport (Train)
At Guimarães train station, purchase a ticket to Vila Nova de Gaia. Board the train towards Porto and disembark at the next stop, which is the main station in Porto, called São Bento. From São Bento station, transfer to the train that heads towards the city of Vila Nova de Gaia. The journey to Vila Nova de Gaia takes about 30 minutes.
Walking
Once you arrive at Vila Nova de Gaia station, exit the station and head down the Avenida de República towards the river. Continue along the riverside promenade, known as Cais de Gaia. You will see signs for Sandeman Cellars. Follow the signs, and the cellars will be located a short walk along the river, approximately 15 minutes from the station.
